Dubs or Subs?

What do you prefer I have no prefrence I could care less if an anime was subbed or dubbed they both have there own merits.

Update:

Now that I've seen other opinions I thought I would add to my claim. I used to be dubs only, but now I watch seasonally. I do get the point that some sub only people say that it's an adaptation not an adaptation of an adaptation which dubs are. An example of this, that I've now realized is a problem with dubs, is the use of honorifics in Japanese. In dubs they are sometimes changed to Mr. and Ms. or not used which make it sound awkward sometimes.

Update 2:

A plus to dubs is if the show does not take place in Japan why are they speaking Japanese? The show that made me question this was Nobunagun a show from this years winter season. If you haven't seen it it's about a global organisation against fast evolving aliens with humans taking powers from historical figures. The question I asked myself in the 4th episode was why would an organisation like this have it's main language be Japanese instead of English. The opposite is a show like Love Live!

Update 3:

Love Live! should be in Japanese so it shouldn't be dubbed. The only exception I find to this rule is Shonen or other fight heavy anime. Shows like Naruto and Yu Yu Hakusho while being more Japanese and it makes sense for them to be speaking Japanese if you don't speak Japanese you'll be looking at the bottom of your screen more than the amazing fighting going on a few inches above the subtitles. That's my two sense I do hope to still see more opinoins on this post it could get interesting.

I prefer Dubs to be honest. Funimation Dubs For The Winn! But If a series has undubbed episodes I'll watch Subs. I never understood how someone who speaks English and English only can say Subs are better when they don't know if the Sub versions are even good. Also I hate looking at the bottom of the screen just to see what they're saying rather than already knowing what they're saying.

It depends. With some shows I prefer subs, but on others I liked the dub better

I usually prefer subs; though I'm fine with dubs, I just prefer the original Japanese for most anime, plus, there's not a lot of very well known anime voices in English, Johnny Yong Bosch and Liam O'Brien are probably the most recognizable voices in English, whereas Japanese have tons of recognizable voices, so many in fact that I could make a huge list of it

Subs because you get to hear the actual emotions that are supposed to be there and dubs can get annoying they mostly have too high pitched voices its like your listening too 3 year old pepped up cheerleaders i dont know bt Subs FTW.

Subs just because it opens a whole new world of anime. Tons and tons of great shows never get licensed and dubbed over. Also several shows that have gotten dubbed just sound so different from the original Japanese and often its hard to adjust (example Attack on Titan). Though there are acceptations like with Cowboy Bebop which was done amazingly.
