Serious question for jehovah's witnesses?

When your version of armageddon comes and goes. You're the only ones left standing as you believe you will be. At some point in time. All of your kids that made it though with you are going to grow up and have kids of their own. The process keeps repeating until you've filled the planet. Since you believe that you will all live forever. What next? The planet reaches population capacity. Does your god somehow shut off your reproductive capabilities? If nobody dies. You don't need to reproduce to replace them. If that is the case. When the last batch of kids grow up. Then you're going to have a planet full of adults. No kids running around to raise or teach anything. Something about that seems so wrong. A world with no kids. And grown adults who really want to be a parent won't get that opportunity. Haven't any of you given that possibility one iota of thought? What do your leaders say about that possibility? Or do we get the "all will be revealed at the proper time" answer?

Think about it.

They are now much more coy explaining their views on this. They used to be up-front and declare that only good JWs would survive Armageddon - now they say they don't know who else might get through. They used to say that none of those resurrected would be able to reproduce (basing that on Jesus' words about people in the resurrection being like angels, and not married - Matthew 22:30) but they may well have dropped that now.

However, the logistics you mention are very real and I do not know of any JW statements that face up to what things will be like at the end of the 1,000 years after Armageddon, where they expect to teach everyone else, prior to the final test when a lot of the resurrected ones will be killed (again). Their pictures of the paradise Earth they imagine always have little children in them. As you point out, that is misleading. It is equally misleading for them to claim that people who die prior to Armageddon have paid for their sins by their physical deaths, for that means Jesus did not die for their sins. That is a far more serious question JWs need to face up to.

Well, w dont have a private version of armageddon :) Read the Bible yourself to see how it will be.

However, Jehovah told Adam and Eve to "fill the earth". That doesnt mean overfill it means to use the earth to its capacity. So though we cant say how - it would seem that at some point when the optimum population is reached according to Jehovah, then reproduction will stop.

Do you not think Jehovah will make sure things are the best for us? Why would he want us to be concerned about a planet without children? He will ensure we have all we need to be happy and content

A common LIE told by JWs is "Jehovah will decide who will live or die at Armageddon"

When in fact they publish this.

"Only Jehovah's Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil." Watchtower 1989 Sep 1 p.19

"Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it." Watchtower 1983 Feb 15 p.12

"Is it presumptuous of Jehovah's Witnesses to point out that they alone have God's backing? Actually, no more so than when the Israelites in Egypt claimed to have God's backing in spite of the Egyptians' belief, or when the first-century Christians claimed to have God's backing to the exclusion of Jewish religionists." Watchtower 2001 Jun 1 p.16

I do not need our organisation to say: all will be revealed in its time, for I know well that myself and this is because I trust that what ever happens, will cause us to be happy beyond our wildest dreams.

Our world will never be over populated! Why right now, where I live in France, there are wide empty spaces and abondoned buildings and France is a HUGE place!

It is actually all down to faith in Jehovah and how to get that, is to study, study and study again, so that we get a glimpse of His personality. I mean: when we like someone, we want to get to know them and how we do that is to ask questions and see how they behave. We certainly wouldn't just sit back and let them do the asking of themselves lol

Jehovah had these 66 books written for the purpose of us getting to know Him, but it is down to us, to open those books and study them; so in effect, He is holding out His hand to us and waiting for us to put our hands in His!

Oh and "our" version of Armageddon is the same version in the bible, since that is where we get our information!!!

After Armageddon, the ones left over, the obedient ones, will have to clean up the earth...it will not be done instantly by spiritual means...and then we can look forward to the resurrection of EVERYONE who has EVER died...and teach them about Jehovah...There WILL be unrighteous among them...and on their attitude they will be judged...The scriptures do not state what will happen to those who refuse to comply.

(Acts 24:15) And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Their death has already FULLY PAID for whatever they did wrong when alive...

(Romans 6:23) For the wages sin pays is death,

Wages [ even small ] ARE always in full.

And...(Isaiah 45:18) For this is what Jehovah says, The Creator of the heavens, the true God, The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.

If this is true of the earth, it must also be true of all the planets in outer space...so we will never run out of places to,live.

When you are little you anticipate the unknowns of school.

When you are a teen you anticipate the unknowns of graduation.

When you are dating you anticipate the unknowns of marriage.

When you are married you anticipate the unknowns of parenthood.

When you are working you anticipate the unknowns of a promotion OR a layoff.

When you are older you anticipate the unknowns of retirement.

But those unknowns do not keep you from moving forward with your life.

And things usually turn out ok, whatever they may be.

Could you clarify what you mean by "our version" of Armageddon?

Jehovah's Witnesses didn't make up the word, it's in the BIBLE neither did we invent the concept of a paradise earth - indeed most Christian religion also believe that the "meek shall inherit the earth".

Furthermore you will never read in any of our publications that we believe that after Armageddon there will be no people alive that are not baptized members of our organization.

We believe there will eventually be millions of people in the paradise that were never part of our organization, many of whom perhaps who never even heard of Jesus.

    JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED IT IS JEHOVAH GOD ALONE THAT DECIDES WHO WILL LIVE OR DIE AT ARMAGEDDON;

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnAw6Vxn9qI&list=P...

Regarding overpopulation of the planet - We didn't write the bible, we only preach it; Jesus DID promise the meek would inherit the earth. What we DO know is that nothing is impossible with God and that whatever décisions or controls he imposses are always to our benefit and for our lasting happiness. Remember, in the original mandate for the earth Adam and Eve were commanded to be fruitful and "fill" the earth not "OVERFILL" it. Genesis makes no mention of what would happen when Adam and Eve finished their commission to fill the earth but we feel confident God knew what would happen when they were done!

The bottom line is, Jehovah's Witness leave détails not provided in scripture (for example regarding childbirth) to Him. Sometimes in life, like, for example the question "What would happen to time in the center of a black hole?" the only correct answer is, we don't know... yet!

I do not want to live in their dystopic paradise. Can you imagine the stench from all the dead bodies. This cult is really creepy and hateful.
