Can they fire me from my job if I skip a few days because of depression?
I'm suffering from mayor depression at the moment and I have been getting treated with a psycologist. I know I have to go to work at some point and I've never missed a day of work.
I just need time to myself I wish I could get like a week off. I don't know if this is possible without losing my job.

Um usually you can just take a Leave of Absence for being "sick"
Your doctor does not have to classify it as depression. You should ask HR for the forms. And u take them to ur doctor to fill out.
I would just tell my doc I was stressed and not feeling well at all and they would sign the papers.
Because depression is still being ill and sick.
And your doc knows that so just let the doc know whats up usually they'll do it. Let them know ur concerns about listing as depression and tell them ur body has been feeling like crap too.

You need to consult your Personnel or Human Resources booklet to see what the policy is for missing work for mental health issues. I am sure there are some days allowed for regulat health issues, they must address mental health issues too.
Maybe your psychologist can call your place of work and inquire without mentioning your name.

Typically, most businesses don't recognize depression as a medical reason to miss work and would count any absence as a personal day off. It'd be good to talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for rest so that your time off could be medically verified. It is always important to go into work. However, if you must miss due to depression don't feel ashamed or guilty for it; instead, be proactive and notify your boss before hand. Be direct and honest so that your employer knows you want to contribute to the company and truly feel you can't do that while suffering from a severe episode of depression.
Please know that there are people who can and will help you with what you are going through. You may want to consider talking with a counselor at a hotline. There are many hotlines that are 24/7 and will work with you and your situation like yours. Some even have email and/or chat if you would prefer.
Hopefully, you will continue to reach out!
