Yahoo Mail goes "not responding" very frequently with Firefox?
With my Win7 notebook and Firefox Yahoo Mail goes "not responding" almost every few seconds. This does not happen at all if I go to Google Chrome. Also it never happens on my XP computer nor with my Win8 computer.
Any suggestions?? Thanks.
Ok it has been a long time now. Then one day firefox produced a popup on its own that suggested that I go into the menu (three bars at right these days) click on the question mark at bottom then go into troubleshooting. On the next page there is a box at upper right that says "reset firefox". I followed through with that and firefox works a lot better now!! Anybody want to try that????

Firefox....my favorite browser was given up about 6 months ago because I had....still have...the same problem. I am fairly internet savvy and I have not been able to solve it. You can click on HELP at the top of the screen and then TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION. There are many suggestions on how to solve this type of problems. It has not worked for me yet. In addition, I have sent support this problem...no help yet. You might also enter FIREFOX NOT RESPONDING in the Search Answers box on this site. Some users have solved their problem and their answers are available. You can also...using the same box click on SEARCH WEB to bring up web sites that might be useful. I have tried them....no luck yet.
I have a laptop....windows 8 and a desktop....windows XP....same problem with both
good luck

Humm dumping the history and the cookies has not solved the problem for me. My Dell with 8.1 is having this problem with Yahoo and Firefox. I have a HP 2000 sitting here next to it with 8.1 and watching the processes it maxes the cpu when I open a email but it does not stop responding. I'm baffled !

Actually I ended up deleting all the cookies. That issue seems to have gone away at least for now.
