The Life of Brian wasn't based on the life of Jesus, it was the Life of Brian, as the title suggests. Whether Muslims would be able to tolerate a movie about people who mistook someone else for an early prophet of Islam, I wouldn't like to say. I'm scared.

No, because Muslims don't like their prophet Muhammad depicted physically in any medium as accorded by their holy book. I don't feel that is to much to ask.
