Was the Treaty of Versailles unfair to Germany?
It seems like Germany was wronged by being forces to sign the Treaty of Versailles for a couple reasons.
A) Germany wasn't the sole cause of the War, nor did they start the War. They simply supported their ally Austria-Hungary.
B) When they supported Austria-Hungary, their ally had a good reason to invade Serbia: To catch the Man responsible for the assassination of their Monarch after Serbia refused to hand him over and offered him protection. ( Just like the US invasion of Afghanistan over Osama Bin Laden)

Germany was not allowed to even participate in the negotiations! And then forced to agree to the terms! Much can be learned from history.
I wonder what the negotiators would have decided if they had the foreknowledge that their actions would lead to WWII.

Everyone recognizes this. It pretty much destroyed Germany's, leading to desperate measures: hence how a fascist party was able to take over, because people were so angry and confused.

Yes, I'd say it was unfair for Germany. But then again, they didn't have any other option but sign it. They lost the war and were in the midst of a revolution.
