Has anyone applied weed & feed, grass seed, and insecticide all at once? Outcome?

I have grown impatient in the years to come and trying to replace the pigweeds and bugs with good grass. Anyone know ever apply all three products to your dirt at once?

Weed and feed products usually have chemicals that prevent seeds from germinating especially ones that say 'prevents crabgrass'. You need to wait three months after applying something like that before it is a worthwile idea to sow grass seed. If you focus on eliminating weeds/fertilizing in the spring, a little fertilizing and watering in the summer, and resowing in the early fall you will have a lush lawn in one year.

Feeding and watering your lawn adequately helps reduce most pest problems. Only use a pesticide if you continue to have chronic pests a few weeks after fertilizing, over use of pesticides can harm beneficial insects which will only lead to more maintenance in the long run.

Mix up some (Weed be Gone) and spray your weeds. Mix it a little strong. Use (Malathion) for the bugs. Can be used at the same time. Wait a week and reseed. The bug spray can be used anytime you need it. I keep a spray bottle of each mixed all of the time ready to use when needed.

If the weed part of the weed and feed is a pre-emmergence herbicide, then putting down grass seed is a waste of time.

Putting down an insecticide without identifying an insect pest, will kill all of the good insects. That's a bad plan.
