In Canada, what type of criminal convictions prevent someone from being bonded?

And are there crimes that automatically bar someone from being bonded? Or do insurance costs simply go up?

The rates GO UP. . It becomes how much will a company pay to insure you as an employee. The more serious the crime the less they want you.. Part of this depends on your job duties. If you stole cash for example they do not want you working as a cashier.

You could work some other job of the employer and not need to be bonded.

If you stole property from your employer they just DO NOT want you.

Think of it like car insurance a bad driver pays more. A really bad driver eventually just cannot afford the rates.or cannot drive as they have too many points on their license.

Any one can be bonded it is just the price you would pay gets extremely high.
