American Bully, your thoughts?

I'm curious as to what the general public thinks of the American Bully. Those of you who own this breed of dog, how are they? Aggressive? Good with kids, do they get sick often? If I wanted to buy an American Bully, approx how much would it cose?

Thanks for your time.

They are constantly struggling to breathe just like a fat man with heart disease and obesity. My two muscular pit bulls will outrun and out-play any American Bully.

Horribly bred exaggerated mutts. They may be sweet dogs, but physically they are a mess.

the American Bully is an abomination to its parent breeds. Taking athletic dogs like Pit Bulls and AmStaffs and turning them into that unhealthy mutt. Its disgusting.

Do not support breeders of AmBullies.

Find one in a shelter and rescue it. or just rescue a dog.

The American Bully is for wanna be thugs who want to seem badass, in control, more masculine, and feel better about themselves by walking a Bully mutt on a 10 lb chain and spike collar. Only Backyard Breeders produce them. People think these Bullies are "purebred Pit Bulls". It makes me cringe.

They're also being horribly bred. The "pocket" sizes have WAY too wide spread chests, causing deformation in the arms. They can't run. Their bodies sag to the ground. Then you got you "XXL" sizes which aren't much better. Very slow, not agile, and heavy joint wear. Also ugly too. No thanks.

I think doing a competition heel with my GSD is more impressive than being dragged around by a 200 lb mastiff mutt.

    Absolutely with 4Her4Life....

There is NO WAY a dog with those proportions can be healthy... The whole leg structure is totally out of sync with the body and with the weight of the body on deformed joints the poor dogs don't have a chance of being healthy.

We don't have them in the UK however we do have the British Bulldog and just last night I had to homecheck for someone wanting a 2nd one when he has an 8 month old b*tch at the moment. He got this dog from someone who lives near, who has loads there (along with Frenchies and pugs) but doesn't breed... hmmm..alarm bells... puppy broker !!!! which got even worse when he told me she'd come from Hungary.

I've had to decline a second dog as this poor 8 month old is SO bad... The dog is falling over where it is so fecked in the joints. Elbow really bad and hips / knees / hocks and pasterns all out of line and 'popping' when walking.

Disaster... and the bully's are WORSE.

Deformed hippo pittie mongrels. They are just American Pit Bull Terriers bred to such an extreme that they have no use and can barely function. Since they are crap-bred, in-bred things bred only for an extreme fad of conformation I wouldn't trust them to have any level of temperamental stability or health. I wouldn't purchase one, ever, but you will probably be charged at least $2000 for this "rare" and very "cool" deformed fad dog.
