Why is it ok to be gay in the NFL but not christian?

What are you talking about? The NFL allows players to have prayer circles in the middle of the field after the game. I believe Reggie White started that tradition. I am not a fan of people putting the homosexuality on parade, but from what I have seen, there is no discrimination of Christian's by the NFL.

No one said that it wasn't OK for someone to be Christian in the NFL.

Christians appear plentiful in the NFL if it can gauged by all the gestures by players making the sign of the cross on the field. Some people may object to more complex gestures like kneeling and praying on the field. I have never seen or heard of sexual acts displayed on a football field.

It's ok to be Christian in the NFL, don't be ridiculous.

LOL Ever hear of Tim Tebow? Tebowing? No? Christians don't face discrimination, or at least minimal in the NFL.

They want you to hate Christianity because as we all know, democrats/liberals are anti-god as much as they are anti-gun. Therefore they'll try to banish it as much as possible and it helps their purpose to convince you that you should hate it too.

Meanwhile, if a sports player comes out of the closet as a gay person, he gets a call from obama. But Chris Kyle, a Marine that has served multiple tours and is known for his sniping abilities, gets mysteriously executed by an "accidental discharge" - and obama doesn't even mention him.

Make no mistake, liberals are all about accepting other views until they realize there are other views.

Because Christians need to be non-violent and peaceful, and turn the other cheek, which doesn't work with the aggressive and competitive professional sports like the NFL.

"People make fun of you for exaggerated religious acts", "You get in trouble for making stupid or obnoxious statements motivated by your religion", and the like =/= "It's not OK to be a Christian".

It always bothers me when Christians see society's increasing unwillingness to give them special status as the same as persecution of Christians. No, persecution is when you can get beat up, fired, arrested, kicked out of your home, or even killed for being what you are. Not getting a free pass to make whatever stupid remarks you want, not being able to impose your religious views on others, or having people take positions and do things you don't like aren't prosecution, they're just life.

Because no one else ever suffers from any discrimination - just gays. No minorities, short people, tall people, fat people, skinny people, old people, young people, etc. No one is ever judged except gay people.

Yawn. Everyone faces discrimination - EVERYONE. There will always be someone who does not like you no matter how awesome you are. There will always be crowds that will immediately accept you simply because you share something with them (being gay, Christian, Toby Keith fan, etc.).

It's just human nature.
