    Nowhere.

If Jesus were God, he would have plainly said so. After all he had no problem claiming he was the Son of God. Why not just tell everyone straight up--- " I am God"

He never said it because Jesus is not the one true God. He is the Son of God. Many times Jesus tells us he has a God.

How can God have a God? He can't.

Why would Almighty God need a God?

He said that before Abraham, whom the Jewish folks credited with founding the religion, there was I AM, which is how God tells is how he should be addressed. So when Jesus said "Before Abraham, was God" he is not saying he, Jesus, is God.

You guys would have less trouble if you would actually read the old testament. And not look for Jesus back there, there is a NEW testament for a reason.

Jesus plainly stated that he was more than a good man. He said: “I am God’s Son.” (John 10:36) Of course, anyone could claim to be the Son of God. But if Jesus’ claim were false, what would that make him? Really, not a good man, but a great fraud!

The most reliable testimony came from God himself. He twice said concerning Jesus: “This is my Son.” (Matthew 3:17; 17:5)

Just think: The Scriptures report only a few occasions when God’s own voice was heard on earth yet on two of them he affirmed Jesus as his Son! This is by far the best proof that Jesus was who he said he was.

Jesus never claimed to be God, but he repeatedly spoke of himself as “God’s Son.” Even his enemies acknowledged this.

Jesus never even suggested that he was God or was equal to him. So to teach such a thing dishonors Jesus.

When Jesus was a man on earth, did he know all that the future held? No, for he humbly acknowledged: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matt. 24:36)

“When the writers of the New Testament speak of God they mean the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When they speak of Jesus Christ, they do not speak of him, nor do they think of him as God. He is God’s Christ, God’s Son, God’s Wisdom, God’s Word.

John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

John 10:30 I and the Father are one."

John 10:31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone him.

John 10:32 Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?"

John 10:33 The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God."

I have not seen any reference in the Bible where Jesus says he is god, only God's son. When Jesus said, he and the Father are one, it reminds me of the closeness of the husband and wife who are considered as one flesh in a marriage, although they are two separate persons. Jesus was also sent from heaven. The angels did not send him to the earth, his Heavenly Father did. Then there is the voice from heaven giving Jesus approval at his baptism. Obviously the voice was his Father's who was in heaven while Jesus was on the earth. Jesus was definitely God's son and that is how he referred to himself.

There are six times where Jesus spoke of himself as being "the Son of God". In five of those six incidences it states that the people hearing him took that as a claim to deity, and four of the six times they attempted to kill him for making that statement. The fifth time, when he made that claim to the High Priest, they crucified him for the statement, So the people at the time when Jesus lived believed that he was claiming to be God.

While it's true Jesus was never recorded as saying the exact words "I am God" He did make it known by word and deed that He is God in the flesh.

In John 8:58-9 Jesus claimed to have existed eternally. If those listening to Him did not understand that to mean He is God then why did they try to stone Him, the penalty for blasphemy?

When the Pharisees asked, “Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (Mark 2:7) they knew the answer was “No one.” Jesus performed a miraculous healing to prove He was God in the flesh and therefore had the authority to forgive sins (Mark 2:10-12).

And remember that first Palm Sunday? “As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.” (Luke 19:41-44) (Note that Jesus was referring to Himself as God.)

And then there's the questioning of Jesus by the Sanhedrin at that illegal trial. The reaction of His questioners leaves no doubt they understood His response to mean He is God in the flesh.

They all asked, “Are you then the Son of God?”

He replied, “You say that I am.”

Then they said, “Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips.” (Luke 22:70-71)

Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”

“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. “You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

They all condemned him as worthy of death. (Mark 14:61-64)

The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

“You have said so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

“He is worthy of death,” they answered. (Matthew 26:63-66)

Why on earth would Jesus have said that you are God? You did not even exist at the time he was around.

He himself didn't say that but it is christian belief
