How do I go to school and work too?
Im finishing up my last 3 prerequisite classes for the nursing program. I heard the nursing program is like a full time job. Im 22 on my own, no family at all to help with anything, let alone money. Is there like a place or solution that helps students financially while going to school? I dont want to have to work while doing these classes and while in the nursing program. I need all the time i can get to study and stay focused just on that. Any ideas or suggestions? Any rude or pointless comments you can keep to yourself. Thanks

Jamie, blogRot is trying to incite you, and it worked. You can't have those kinds of responses if you work as a nurse to someone who tries to rile you up. Some people are going to be downright mean. It happens. You can't swear back at someone who swears at you.
There is plenty of financial aid out there. Apply through the federal program but also explore private sources. Places like Health Careers Foundation and other private sources may provide grants, scholarships, or low cost loans, or some combination. You need to do your own research to see what you may be eligible for. Some focus on people going into a particular field, some are for people of a particular ethnicity or religion, some are based on many other criteria. Start looking.
You will likely need some type of loans, as it is rare to find enough funding to pay for all your schooling as well as your living expenses. You can pay loans back easily if you focus on it after graduation. You live like a pauper for a few years and you pay it off. Then you get on with your life. Good luck.

Apply for HRSA scholarships/grants. The government helps you pay for school and you, in turn, work in an under served area for Period of time.
You will need to take out student loans to pay for housing and food, unless you can dorm and get it rolled into your scholarships.
As far as rude and pointless comments, you better get used to them. As a nurse, you can't expect everyone to be rosy, happy, polite, and nice. You are going to get yelled at, you are going to get snapped at, you are going to have people being rude, you are going to have people being critical.
Good Luck

Check with your school about a loan. More than likely it will be a high interest rate. Sometimes you just have to do it. Maybe you can take on baby siting jobs where it allows you to work and do some homework.
So you heard it was like a full time job, so maybe it won't be like that for you.
Its a shot in the dark but check your bank to see if they have something.

"Any rude or pointless comments you can keep to yourself." go fuckyerself.
You can apply for student loans and grants to live off of while you are a full time student; the debt load you will have from loans once you graduate will not be pretty though.

Be prepared......I have heard the saying from several nurses "nurses eat their young".
