Why always SM department store being robbed by the martilyo gang?

Just yesterday, another SM department store in Cagayan de Oro was robbed by the notorious martilyo or hammer gang once again. 6 persons came in and one with a hammer and a plumber tool smash the shelves of the jewelry shop and 2 of the 6 members are holding an automatic submachine gun and a .45 pistol. How in the world did these people got the guns inside SM department store with the security personnel at every entrance gates? Why always SM department not Rustan's or Robinson super malls or any other department store in the Philippines? Even the biggest SM megamall was also fall victim to these notorious martilyo gang and as always they escape the scene.

Maybe because of lack of security measures of the mall. For example, the security guards, i guess they are not trained enough for their jobs. When people come in they will just "tusok tusok" your bag. Just to say they do their job. And also, robbers are very smart today, they really planned what they will do. :D

Clncarplz call these guys "brave" as if robbing stores or malls is a great new job. You are actually encouraging more guys to just rob stores or malls this days? Mostly security personnel are conniving with these groups or has something to do with insurance policy. Why not Robinson or Liana's or Pure Gold or other malls, why is it always been SM department store? I would agree on lack of security measures but why bother to get security personnel if this will always happen to their branches? SM has been robbed for the past 7x already by the same group with the same style, only one was caught at mall of asia. Others just vanished into thin air. Lack of security or lack of police visibility too?

Because they are easy to rob by these "brave" Filipino gangs.

everybody should be thankful there was NOT an all out fight with all those weapons in the middle of the store.

This is typical behavior of a gang in any part of the world the gangster are afraid to fight somebody 1 on 1 face to face with equal weapons.

I am not encouraging them to be a thief when they all ready are thieves (after all they are Filipinos). Wondering why somebody who doesn't understand what the quotation marks around a word means wants to twist things around to insult me? Then deletes his own answer.

There are security guards and detectors yes.... but the detectors aren't actually working and just for show. The security guards if you have a bag, backpack, or suitcase have you open it and they *inspect* by briefly sticking their stick in. But your bag or suitcase could have multiple compartments of large size and they never check them all. A filipino could walk in with a large backpack and open the smaller compartment and that's good enough for those security guards.

Its all show, no real security at all.
