Why do some Christians feel the need to protest us Mormons in a very hostile way?

It is not the Christians that knock on people's doors and tell people they must convert. Or worse refuse to leave when asked to do so!

Do Christians have to wear silly underwear to go to church?

Do Christians have to avoid various foods and drinks?

Do Christians have to prove they are fervent believers before they are allowed into church?

Do Christians have to ban anyone from entering church that is not totally committed?

Do Christians act as if their religion is some sort of secret society by banning non members from their churches?

Do Christians believe they will become gods?

Compare the bible and Christian beliefs with the Mormon book and beliefs and it is as plain as day that Mormons only claim to be Christian because they are afraid to stand up as an entirely separate religion!

Seen the advertisements with people doing everyday things with the line “and they are Mormon”? Seems the Mormon hierarchy recognize that they are seen not just as an extremist cult but also different to other people!

Mormonism is closer to scientology than Christianity!

Because they are caught up in the lunacy of organized religion. Really, you feel that peaceful protests at a pageant qualifies as "very hostile"? If they were shooting rockets at you or pulling you out of buses and shooting you or starving you, etc, etc, as people do to other religions in other parts of the world, then you could say it was "very hostile". Protesting at a pageant is just a mild disagreement. Grow a thicker skin.

It is due priestess don't teach respect and good behaviors to believers. So that's why some Christians believe they are the best of the best and no one else.

Because they never learned enough from God to have overcome that stigma. I've heard about Christians doing strange things to Mormons. And I don't like it at all. See, some Christians think all Mormons are going straight to Hell .And I don't think that is very insightful.

Their pastors tell them to or make it feel like it's their duty to. I have a theory that the pastors do this because they know that their church is declining(all protestant churches are pretty much) while Mormons are still growing. It's probably jealousy.

Still, Mormonism does need critique. It has quite a few problems with it, though it doesn't need hostile protests.

I thought Mormons preferred LDS.

Every "Mormon" that I've known didn't like being called a "Mormon." They just said they were "Christians" or "LDS."
