Yeah, I have that kit actually. I bought it for my nephew but he lost interest. You can use it to play any type of music. The bass, snare and cymbal sounds are very good. The tom sounds are okay, but you can't expect any better for the price really. My only issue with it is that the pads and controller aren't basic 1/4" inputs/outputs, but that is normal for a set in this price range. All that really means is that you better take good care of the wiring harness since you can't just go to the store and buy a cable if one gets damaged.
