Buying a high mileage Porsche Cayenne Turbo.. bad idea?
2003 with just under 100K miles. I'm not a rich guy, but these things have depreciated so much I can afford to purchase the fastest SUV ever made. I guess it's a bucket list thing, or maybe I'm just under endowed.
Anyway, I guess I'm looking for someone to talk me out of it. I know it has high running costs, as you would expect of a turbo v8 and servicing aint cheap to say the least. It wont be a daily driver, as I know people who drive them don't do so to win popularity contests. I just need to know how much of a gamble I am taking with a car with that many miles. It has full service history and looks impeccably clean for it's age. It's in another town, so I haven't seen it in the flesh yet.

Well I am a ford guy, but I've owned a couple of Chevys, and they start to die after 10 years, and granted all cars start to die at a certain age, but 10 years old and a lot of miles, I wouldn't look to spend over 7 grand for, you should look at buying a newer car, even though it won't look as nice you will save money in the long run and you may be able to buy a better car some years down the road.
