We use 10% of our brains?

I do not think we have machines that can measure how much of our brains that we use.

But what do I know; I am only using 10% of my brain, any way.

Do we know - or even guess - why we are using only 10%?

I don't think I have worked my way up to 10%. Usually takes more coffee.

Who knows - maybe because in our current lifestyles, 10% is all that is generally needed to survive and reproduce.

"I do not think we have machines that can measure how much of our brains that we use."

You are, unsurprisingly, completely incorrect there, Skippy. We DO have machines that can measure brain activity, and they confirm what we already knew: the 10% thing is complete garbage. It's a myth. It's nonsense. It's not real. It's fake.

"Do we know - or even guess - why we are using only 10%?"

Since it's not true, there's no need for a "why".

Actually not. Of course, if we assume that the above statement is true. Let`s say you are in the golden mean - like 100 IQ. Simple 10% is 10. Herefrom activities like survival and reproduction are implausible for you. You would need at least 49 IQ points to be able to make sex and to understand what you are actually doing.
