why do I always stay watching series AFTER they have ended?

Like when the series is active I have no interest but years after the finale is over I binge watch it then get attached and sad when the very last episode is over. Like Malcolm in the middle, desperate housewives, scrubs.

    Literally same. I think its because the realization that a new episode will never be out makes us feel like what all we have is what's aired, therefore we want to watch it again at our own pace.
