Can't get a day off for a wedding day?
I just started a job on July 27th and my first day off is 5 and 6 of August but it's my cousins wedding on the 9th of August and the rehearsal is the 8th of August, I already talked to my manager but she said I can't, I don't know what to do, my cousins wedding has been a 2 years preparation..

If your cousin's wedding has been on the books for TWO YEARS you should have made your job acceptance conditional upon having those two days off.
Sorry, you blew it. Maybe you can get a coworker to switch with you? Not exactly the way I'd be wanting to start a new job...begging people to work my shifts.

you have been told you cannot have the day off
this is the time you either act like an adult and work as expected, or act like a carefree child and skip work and possibly lose the job to attend a wedding(which is about 20 minutes long) then a party afterwards

Since you've already asked and said no, clearly you can't.
Your choices are to either hope and pray you get that day off when the schedule comes out or call in sick and probably loose your job in the process.

Unfortunately, if you know that you need a day off before you take a job, you need to tell your employer in the beginning,. At this point, it's too late. It would be a little ridiculous to allow a brand new employee time off for an event a week away. Perhaps you can make it to the reception.
Depending on the type of industry you're in, you'd normally be able to ask another employee to switch days off, but my guess is that you're still in training (and possibly on probation), so this isn't possible.

You either attend the wedding or you keep your job. In this economy, I would keep my job.
