Why is my resting heart rate so high? 75-85bpm?
Alright, I'm a 140lb 19 year old male who ran Cross Country and cycled throughout all four years of high school. I achieved times of a 4:47 mile and 17:11 5k and cycled like crazy so why is my RHR so high? It doesn't make sense to me. It should be significantly lower than what it is, right? It's been around 75-80 for nearly the past 5 years. When I'm active it stays around 120-130 but I walked up a flight of stairs yesterday and it went all the way to 146. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, am I about to die or something?

..you won't die and the high heartbeat is most probably due to the fact that this was something different to the normal habit. Maybe 85 is a bit high, but it's stil in normal range.
If in doubt you can get a 24h ECG and than the doctor can see what's going on. Even a heart specialist you can contact, but this seems a bit overacting to me..

Because you're absolutely 'normal'?
A resting heart rate of between 60 and 100 bpm (beats per minute) is considered normal.
