Are rabbits eating my sedum?

Hi. Something's eating my sedum, particularly my red leaf sedum. Does not look like the work of bugs, and bites seem too small for deer. Could it be rabbits? And can you recommend a repellant that's not too toxic? Thank you.

I do not believe rabbits like to eat sedum. I have lots of sedum varieties growing in my yard, even the red leaf sedum. I also have a family of rabbits that eat the clover in my grass, right next to the sedum. Even after mowing the clover, the rabbits do not eat the sedum while waiting for the clover to grow back. So, in my yard, the rabbits prefer the clover.

If you suspect rabbits, you can get rabbit repellant at your local hardware store in the area where they sell mice poison.

Quail are eating your sedum. They chomped mine down to the ground, killing the plants. At first I also thought it was the rabbits, but then I caught them red-handed while looking out the window. They (a flock) amass on a plant and peck the florets off the stems, ultimately killing the plant. They killed off all my red sedum ground cover (I think they love sedum because of the water content) but they also chomped down all my salvias, killed a shasta daisy, and eat any tender leaves they can find. Try putting out a shallow bowl of water for them. I love the quail but they have sorely tested my patience and wits.

Exactly no idea whether its a work of rabbit or bugs. But if you think that its a work of rabbit then I have some solid repellants that can sure shot work over rabbits in your houses.

I didn't think anything ate sedum. If it is rampant, I would pin it on deer who eat tree bark if necessary.

Slugs and snails would be my bet , they love succulents. Look for the slime trails early in the morning and then set beer traps.
