Can Private Internet Access VPN be bypassed by hackers?
I was wondering if it's totally safe to use a vpn to get safe from hackers, or even authorities?

The amount of stupid with these answers hurts. An ISP does not give you 2 IP addresses. They either give a Static or a dynamic, not both. I think people are confused with Public and Private IP addresses. Your public IP is the one your ISP gives you. It's known to every site and can only change if it's a dynamic IP. A private IP is assigned to your computer by your router. This can change as well unless you edit the router to make it a static IP. Using a VPN will not stop a dedicated group such as the police, but that will pretty much only happen if you're doing severe illegal things like threatening to blow up something. PIA does not keep logs so it's very difficult for them to trace it back to you. It isn't impossible though.

Here's something to think about:
If there's a way in, there's a way out. The fact that you can access that information means someone else can as well; it's only a matter of time. What is the VPN gonna do? Be managed by you and have hard drives that store nothing and are encrypted, have a password that encrypts with new keys every second based on your thoughts and no known formulas while running a custom OS? I'm guessing it won't, and thus it isn't secure. Oh and by the way, even if it you had a VPN capable of such, it still wouldn't be secure.

Of course using a VPN doesn't protect you from hackers or the law. Your ISP provides you with two ISP addresses. The Dynamic IP address which you can change or changes periodically or is even issued to multiple clients. The ISP also issues you a Static IP address which is permanent with that ISP and never changes. The ISP is also required by the government to keep a file of web addresses visited for a specified time period by police agencies. This is how your online activities can be traced if you're ever involved in any criminal activity.

yes, it is right using a VPN doesn't protect you from hackers. Your ISP have been provides you two ISP addresses. The Dynamic IP address which you can change or changes periodically or is even issued to multiple clients. The ISP also issues you a Static IP address which is permanent with that ISP and never changes. So, the hackers can have some techniues to hack your dynamic IP very easily.

Yes, it can add a lot of security, but no, it won't be "totally safe," especially from authorities. They can get a warrant and have your internet provider track your activity. The VPN only protects you up to the point before you send data to your provider.

The bottom line is...ok there is not bottom line.
Nothing is secure, anything can be hacked.
If it runs digitally it's not safe.
Believe me. I totally mean NOTHING.

If the hacker knows what he is doing then yes. However please note that very few people will know how. Police on the other hand can easily bypass them.
