NBA Can Team Usa Still Win Gold?

To be honest, I think the US doesn't really have a shot. In past years they've had to have overwhelming talent in order to win, because they do not play as a team as well as Spain, for example. If you take a look at Spain's main players

-Calderon

-Navarro

-Gasol brothers

-Ibaka

-Fernandez

(and some more)

They're stacked. An NBA team with these players would probably win the finals. They've got great chemistry, and not to mention, they're playing at home. However, I think a dark horse like Lithuania or Greece will win. That is because they have a bunch of underrated EuroLeague players with amazing chemistry. It's amazing to watch.

It's the Fiba World Cup, I think they get a cup this year? Yeah only the major countries can beat the u.s this year like always for instance Spain, Russia, France, Dominican Republic, and maybe Argentina(if ginobli plays). To be honest I think one of those countries I listed will win, I have a feeling that the duo we saw in the Spurs with Tony Parker and Diaw is going to be trouble.

Yes. We've got KD, Curry, Lillard, Davis, Cousins, Faried, Harden, and others. Hell, Chandler Parsons, Klay Thompson, and Andre Drummond will probably play very few minutes, that's how good this team is. We're going to win every game by double digits.

They absolutely can. The world has said for the last ten years that they've 'caught up.' They absolutely haven't. The years Team USA has lost in these games were years we either had a team full of rookies or a team full of one-dimensional guys who do the same kind of thing. The world IS catching up, but they're not there yet.

That said, this is a young team, so we can be beat. But if we play our game (pressure D and execution), there's no reason why we shouldn't win it.

Spain's always gonna be tough, and Serbia should be a lot better (they were pretty young at the Olympics), among others.
