If God created humans with free will, and they sin, did God create humans with a tendency to sin?

Update:

What I mean is, God could have created us with both free will and a natural aversion to sin. But since humans will do it entirely on their own, did God give humans a tendency to sin? And does that mean that God is damning people for what he did, since he is all powerful?

Update 2:

@Marcia

But God knew that Adam and Eve would eat the fruit of knowledge because obeying God would require an understanding of right and wrong, which He did not give them. They could not have known it was wrong to disobey Him if they did not have an understanding of right and wrong.

    God created humans with the ability to sin. That is not the same as saying that God created humans with the tendency to sin.

    According to the Bible, Adam and Eve "brought sin into the World" - so the human tendency to sin has only existed **since** the time of Adam and Eve. That is: because they sinned, humans descended from them *do* have a tendency to sin. But the Bible indicates that Adam and Eve did not have that tendency when they were created.

    Religion is never that simple. God created perfect human beings. He then created a tree which would allow them to sin. This was not enough, finally he created Satan who would tempt humans to sin. God did all this knowing that humans will sin, since god knows everything. He hates sin so much, he will fry all those who do sin.

    God must be a pretty twisted dude to create billions of people that he already knows will be punished for eternity.

    Allah the Almighty [SWT] created us not with a tendency to sin, but with the capability to so, with the ability to discern right from wrong. He has created us humans as «ashraf-ul-makhlooqaat» or highest of all created beings, with free will. For example, animals and birds have no free will but merely act on instinct, so there is no question about sinning for them. How we humans choose between right and wrong determines our place in Paradise or Hellfire.

    God did not create sin nor does He will man to sin. Sin is an ill use of man's free will. We are free to obey or disobey God. He does not force man to obey Him. He wants man to love Him with man's own free will by obeying His Commandments. The tendency to sin is a result of original sin from Adam and Eve. We are all born with original sin, thus we are born with a corrupt human nature with an inclination to sin, weaknesses, and faults. It is only by the grace of God that man can avoid sin and remain just and holy. Man has to cooperate with God's grace and convert if he wishes to save his soul.

    You can only have an aversion to sin if you are not free to choose love and whom you will love. God created man not as worshippers of Him but to love Him. And yet he gave us free will to either love Him or reject Him. If freewill is taken away, then the idea of loving someone freely is taken away. The ability to choose one thing or another, is called free will. Man, because of his nature, has a proclivity to choose sin over righteousness. So in a technical sense, God created man with a sin nature. One third of the angels chose sin and they have seen God. We are a lower creation than the angels.

    Cut to the chase. If God is omnipotent, perfect goodness and a loving father, and if he created all of the universe, where the hell did evil come from? The origin of evil, and the taint of original sin are the two great conundrums that thinking believers must get past. Which may be why there are so few thinking believers.

    No. God created us with the tendency to do what He said, but with the ability to sin.

    Allah (God) created humans with 'Tendency to sin and tendency to avert sin'. This is what we call 'Freewill'.

    To create with 'freewill and a natural aversion to sin' is a contradiction.

    That is suggesting that God is evil, which he is not. God cannot tempt people. Sin resulted from our evil temptations that we have in ourselves apart from God.

    No. How do you know God knew they would sin ? God knows only what he wills to know.
