Best car to buy used?

I'd heard that Toyota Corolas are the best to buy used because they just keep going and going. Also, Volvos, apparently. Is that true? Is that true for any Volvo? Or only certain models?

Toyotas are good cars. However, they tend to cost significantly more than other cars.

So it may be a better idea to take your chances with a less reliable car given the savings.

For example, about 8 years ago I ought a low mileage buick for less than half what a high mileage Honda would have cost. Now, the buick has needed a number of minor repairs that the Honda may not have needed. But I might still be ahead given how much I saved when buying it.

No question a Honda or toytota is a better car. Sometimes other brands can be better values.

That is, you can often get more for your money with less reliable brands.

Depends upon market where you live. Asian countries has got values for Toyota Corolla and Audi. These days Mercedes and BMW also getting great values than Volvo. Whereas, European countries Volvo, Volkswagen, Peugeot and Bentley too.
