Should I join the Air Force?
I'm a 22 year old Romanian girl. My parents took me out of school when I was in 1st grade. I learned here and there from tutors or taught myself. My culture does not believe in education. (I know, I know it's stupid.)
After I get my GED I was thinking about joining the Air Force, but I am afraid that I might get stuck with a maintenance job. I was interested in the paralegal path, but i heard it takes 7, or 8 years? idk is there other jobs that would help me get a good civilian job later?
If you guys have any other ideas I'm all ears.
Thank you for reading. :D
Okay guys I am a US citizen, grew up in Georgia here.

Yes, go Air Force. No matter what job you get, you can always use your off duty time to study for whatever you want. If you do a few classes, you can also get in touch with the legal department and see how to cross train in to paralegal.
PM me if you want more details.

If you get your GED you'll also have to go to a community college or something and get about 15-20 credits, then the military will accept you. It's either GED and 15-20 college Credits.... Or high school Diploma. I hope this helps you! Good Luck!

You must have 15 semester hours of college work, at the 100 level or higher.
The AF does have Tuition assistance once you are in and are eligible to use it, and there is the GI BIll.
However.. you MUST meet the requirements to enter first before you can take advantage of the benefits. You want in the AF, you have to play by their rules. And their rules state that you need 15 semester hours of college work. (basically it's one semester) You can knock that out between taking the ASVAB and doing the DEP paperwork and the time you actually head off to BMT.

1. You must be either a US citizen or permanent resident (green card holder) to join.
2. You can not join with only a GED. You would have to earn 15 college credits at or above the 100 level.
3. What jobs you can get are based on your ASVAB scores, not your grades.

Perhaps you are trolling. If so, don't understand why.
If you are not a US citizen, you cannot join the military. It Romania, education is mandatory up to 10th grade...so I don't understand why you say "my culture does not believe in education". Perhaps your parents didn't. believe education.
