Is this considered harassment?

If a wife is seperating from her husband (already moved out of the home) and someone messages her on facebook telling her that her husband is having an affair, is that considered harassing her? Especially when she never told you to leave her alone, infact she never responded at all?

  • No. It's being a gossip, even if true. Anyway, if she is leaving him & he's already having an affair, all the more reason to justify the divorce...after all why should the wife care? She doesn't want him anymore. Informing a wife of her estranged husband's affair is not harassment. edit: Harrassment involves threats, crude language, sexually explicit exclaimations, stalking, directed at YOU and you alone...not someone tattling on your husband in detail about who he's been boffing.

    No.

Harassment is "is generally defined as a course of conduct which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts a person in fear of their safety. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcomed and uninvited behavior that demeans, threatens or offends the victim and results in a hostile environment for the victim."

No. One message is not harassment. It's only harassment if the person has been told to stop.

Stop emailing the wife,Sheena. You broke up the marriage. Isn't that enough?

Thanks, like 3 or 4 messages were sent explaining it all, but was never told anything, just simply ignored.
