Just leave the door open, and when you're not around to scare it, it will leave all by itself. Squirrels nest in trees, not garages.

The problem is if you leave the door open and walk away, he'll just invite all his squirrel buddies over and then you in a world of hurt.

Use this as an opportunity to clean out the garage. Move everything into the driveway. You have to make him feel unsafe and then he'll leave.

I have had animals get tapped in my house many times. And the one thing that ALWAYS works, even for when my cat gets loose and I need to capture him back, is setting a trap. Go to like tractor supply or a place that sells unharmful traps, put food in that squirrels like, then wait a day or two and it should get him. Then drive out some where and walk back into the woods and set him free.

When I had squirrels in my walls, I put large, shallow pans of ammonia in the heating/duct closet and around vents, then left for the weekend. When I returned, no more squirrels, because their noses are much more sensitive than ours. I suppose bleach would do the same trick. Short of cleaning out your garage, it's worth trying. Saved me the cost of pest control. And then used the old cleaner for the driveway.

We have this raccoon that lives under our woodshed. We see him scurrying under there all the time, but haven't been able to figure a way to get him to move out. My dad suggested bug bombing him, but everyone hated that idea, so now he's just basically a pet. I know this doesn't really help, but I'm just saying I feel ya, bro.

He needs food and water. If he won't leave via the door then it's because has another entrance somewhere, probably somewhere up in the eaves.

give him a way out (open big door) then make alot of noise and scare him out there pretty spooky rattle boxes etc if he is a she could be she's nesting to give birth if that happens you may never rid yourself of them as a last resort you could put a running car inside your garage and suffocate him/her then wait a few days and "sniff" him/her out to remove it
