Is Murhpy's Law the answer for the world's current state ?

It's not a complex or deep idea, but it just crossed my mind while reading another question, where a guy asked why did our world become so depraved and why is our society so immoral, cruel, material, etc.

I just thought that maybe Murhpy's law sums it all up : " if anything can go wrong, it will. "

Philosophically speaking there is no reason for why things should go in a certain way.

We have our ideas about why something is wrong, but objectively speaking, things just happen.

We are conscious about how things affect us, but that's just our perception and our perception is programmed to make distinction between " right " and " wrong " , but every bit of our Universe is made to generate a mixture of those and in the end it is an eternally repeating cycle, we just have to notice that if we take out the pieces of it, then it makes no sense, but if we see them as a cycle or a system, then it's all connected and eternal.

Eastern philosophy puts it the best way : you can't have good without bad or bad without good, nor light without darkness or darkness without sunshine.

Every dark period of our history was followed by a brighter future. It's just the way it is, because it wouldn't be a way otherwise.

I wouldnt say its the answer but its part of the cause, a fact that YA programmers would do well to consider before patching in another "improvement". Philosophically speaking when things go a certain way its probably for a reason ("Occams razor"). When its the wrong way ("things can ALWAYS get worse") its because the required critical thought, and planning, have not been done, hence unforseen consequences which are not in out interests, or in line with our desires. All too often it does become a cycle, but only because we are too lazy, or too stupid to learn from our mistakes. Good, bad, darkness, and light are all perceptive constructs dependant on extrems rather than the more realistic graduation between. Regardless of the period being darker or brighter Murphys law still applies, a fact which should temper enthusiasm with care whenever handling buttered toast.

It is a -- cop out -- to just live as though we do not know how to live we do know right from wrong

We also know that perception has nothing to do with right and wrong murder some one they are dead it always surprise's me that there is a--- maybe--- involved where is it possible to use perception to make a murder anything else than wrong Think about it next time you are cheated or robbed say to yourself gee this feels good If you can do that then I concede the argument and you are right

If you do not like being cheated or robbed then you must admit everyone else does so perception is nonsense and a fact has been established

It's not the answer to the world's problems, but it adequately describes the nature of world history, current events and our expectations of the future.

Right or wrong, immorality or morality only exists in perception. Humans label. The happiest man probably is the man who does not see things as good or bad but the man who only says, THINGS HAPPEN.

You have a nice day too!

I agree, this is my first time reading that name "Murphy's Law". Seems likely like there's no life without death, happiness without sadness and so on. Hope you have a good one too :)

Does make sense in Real Estate and Politics. And probably makes sense in a whole lot of other areas too.

  • Nothing to add, you seem to have answered your own question...well said btw
