How can I rent an apartment with no credit?
If I have little or no credit, can I rent an apartment by paying a few months up-front? How many months is typical? If I want an apartment with an 8 month lease, would I have to pay all 8 months upfront to be able to get it without credit, or can paying a few months upfront, such as 4 months, give them enough confidence that I will make the payments?

No most landlords will not rent to you with no credit & most landlords do not take prepaid rent. You will also not likely find an 8 month lease. Leases go month to month, 6 month or 1 yr.
Yes some do but this is far from standard. You will have a hard time finding anyone to accept your terms.

It's dependant on the owner. Most would probably have you pay up front plus a security deposite, so you're looking at 2 months payment up front.

i rented for a decade without a drop of credit
look for a landlord that will look at your higher income
show your bank statements, retirement accounts, your tax returns, etc.
ex: if you make $4,000 a month,, they will let you get a place that only costs $800 a month easily with no credit
