the lines on this subject if you look on the nhs website seems to be a little bleared.
my friend who is retired and does not pay for nhs treatment has lost three of his front teeth . the dentist insists that his only option if he doesn't pay is a denture, but unfortunately he doesn't like plastic in his mouth. she did say if he wanted inplants they would cost around £4,000 and £400 for a metal plated denture.
now although not the same dentist someone we know is having the same treatment and having implants free of charge. the differences are he is in his 30s, unemployed, a drug addict and an alcoholic. why the difference.
I know change his dentist to the second dentist but his books are full.
I just think everyone should be treated equally and although of course if someone had a nasty accident I wouldn't have a grumble to them receiving free implants but a druggie alcoholic just makes me a little mad.

Sorry I thought you meant breast implants.... It's because he is young and he still has a chance of a life! I know that sounds pathetic but that's how it works.
