Newborn kitten won't sleep/stop crying?

He is 4 days old and has 4 siblings, and a mother. He's not a runt and I'm pretty sure he's eating fine. After a meal when all the other kittens get in a pile and sleep, he crawls around and cries. Mom will come check on him and that stops the crying for a minute but it's like he can't get comfortable or something. Is something wrong?

Maybe he just can't find his siblings. What happens if you GENTLY pick him up and put him with them, or make a rolled up towel border to keep him from wandering. He's crying because he "knows" he's supposed to be next to something. The vet couldn't hurt, but try the towel first. The bad news is that baby animals that aren't well do seperate themselves to die. Sorry.

That's what babies do. My french bull dog had babies and they cried because they can't see so they don't know where things are. It just means that it needs help. Because if the mom is sleeping, it has nobody to guide it. Move it around and let it feel things around it like it's siblings and hen let the mom lick it and place the kitten by it's mom. Let the mom do most of the work.

Have him checked by the vet. Something is wrong.
