Will my medicine always make me not want to have sex?

Ok so this may sound werid. I'm not gonna lie before I took Celxa I was a horny person and thought about sex a lot. Which is normal for teens. So Celxa is the med I take which is for depression and anxiety. I look at all these people say that after they started taking it they never had desire for sex.

I've been on the med for around 3 months now. I never feel that sexual way or anything. It's not like I wanna **** everybody but I don't want to be a 30 year old women still thinking like this.

Any help

I took Celexa during a very difficult time my life. My mom had cancer and I was having horrible chest tightness. The Celexa eased that, but I had the same symptoms you are describing, and no, it did not go away until after I was off it. Also, I gained about 100 pounds on it. I was 10 pounds from my goal weight and was exercising over an hour every day. Celexa makes you not care, so I basically stopped exercising so much, and began eating more...knew what I was doing but didn't care. That was the worst side effect. If you notice that happening, ask your physician for a different medication. It's not worth it! I also read that other people felt they were glued to their computer and never wanted to go out. It did that to me as well. I was content not having a lot of social interaction. Unless you are in a crisis, I suggest finding something else.

@Jeanine: The way you describe how you felt while you were on it, is the way I feel when I am not on it. I have never been on it, but that is just how I am. Content sitting in front of the computer, not caring enough about my fitness or diet. If there is a drug out there that will have the OPPOSITE effect of Celxa, that would be what I'd want.
