Immigration is important to any country for many reasons, more so in the old days, to populate and grow the country and economy.

This Illegal Immigration is NOT the same thing. Typically what you get is a hodgepodge of people the doner country does not want.

This issue the USA has today is mostly political. They could solve this problem easily by making it possible for people to come to the US to work, and then go back home. It is called a work visa. Many jobs these people want are seasonal, and most Americans do not want to do them. Canada has a system where they come for a few months, make good money, compared to where they are at home, then go back to their families. It works, its simple, and it is not a burden on society.

No. Most of the other countries smugly shaming the U.S. for daring to protect its borders have nowhere near the immigrant population (by percentage) of their target of their ire.

It's just yet another example of how they can vilify the big, bad US. Have you ever read the immigration qualifications for Australia? Citizens of certain countries (UK and so forth) get in with no problem. All the rest are assigned a point value, based on their age, job skills, monetary wealth and so on. That point value is used to determine your desirability.

Does anyone wag their finger at Australia? Of course not. Can you imagine the US daring to create such a policy?

    It is a fiscal matter.

It cost money to search for, detain, and deport "undocumented" immigrants.

A waste considering that many simply return.

The proposed alternative is to do this and spend additional money on a fence that spans the entire southern boarder.

That will cost even more money build, maintain, and man.

The left proposes that we increase revenues instead of spending tax payer dollars, by giving them legal working status so that those people pay taxes.

I thought conservatives were supposed to be fiscally responsible?

Over a million people immigrate to the USA LEGALLY every year

Birthrates are a cheap excuse to allow people to break the law

Sadly enough since the baby boomers are retiring and they did not have enough children to replace themselves in the work force, they may have a point.

But they still need to be here legally and we need a better/more efficient mechanism for them to gain citizenship or a workers visa.

We "NEED" people to obey the laws of our US Constitution and follow LEGAL Immigration procedure and to stop STEALING tax payer funded services intended for Legal US law abiding citizens.

We do not need, or want, hispanic immigration. If immigration is to be, then it shall be white European immigrants as originally intended by the Founding Fathers.
