How many Jews are supposed to have left Egypt with Moses? How many stayed in Egypt? When did Jews go back to Egypt?

    Its an assumption that the story is true, since the written record comes from oral stories.

    Around 200,000 left in the exodus. Jews started to return after the destruction of the first temple and when Israel and Egypt fell under Macedonian rule.

    by statistics according to the bible.. believe it or not.. they are talking about somewhere around 4 million !!!
