Itchy Anus for 2 weeks?
For the past 2 weeks i have had a very itchy bum hole. I went to the doctor about 10 days ago and they gave me some cream and worming tablets but Its still getting itchy. I'm not experiencing any pain or anything at all and the itch seems to have subsided a slightly but it is still irritating me, particularly at night.
also I'm not sure if its related or anything but over the same time I have been getting painful ulcers under my tongue (right at the back)
I eat quite healthy and nothing in my diet has changed over the pas few weeks.
What could be the problem?
should i go back to the doctor? (as a uni student i generally try not to go to the doctor if i can ovoid it to save the cash)

Yes,maybe one round of meds wasn't enough to clear them out, it is probably pinworms, a tiny white worm they lays eggs on your bedding while you are sleeping. They are the only thing that would cause this kind of itch unless you have genital warts. If you want to know for sure, put a piece of scotch tape right up next to your rectum before sleep, if it is them, you will see them the next day on the tape. They lay eggs in all your bedding and are highly contagious to anyone who may sit on you bedding. Get some more meds and be sure you
wash and dry the bedding on hot to kill them.

I read somewhere that an itchy anus is often indicative of a parasitic problem...it was a particular type of parasitic worm that spends its time in the intestines and gets free meals on you. I believe it is the Tapeworm.
I'm not a doctor. Always get proper medical advice.
