    I will try:

    density of fluid * Volume submerged = density of object * volume of object

    Volume submerged = density of object * vol of object / density of fluid

    = {(24/0.032) * 0.032} / 1000

    = 0.024 m^3

    Note that the displaced water is to support 24 kg is: 24/1000 = 0.024 m^3

    wood density ρ = 24/32 = 0,75 kg/dm^3

    Vi = V*ρ = 32*3/4 = 24 dm^3

    Ve = V(1-ρ) = 32*0.25 = 8 dm^3
