The Family Values Crowd values their guns more than they value their children

The cry that it is needed to protect the children is a cover up! There are over 800000 kids out there missing in the US. An estimated 1/3 of them are being sexually exploited!
One sixth of the US population has AIDs there is a one in six chance of catching AIDs from a casual sexual liaison- but the liberals maintain children need to be allowed to do so!
Your stand is so lop sided and is just plain not defensible if your goal is to protect children- there are bigger threats out there to their welfare. The simple fact is more children are sexually molested by teachers then get injured or killed by guns!
Take on the real threat- not the hyped on one that is just a cover up for other plans!

Because they feel if Sensible Gun Laws pass, then the anti-gun folks will get drunk on their victories and not stop there.
So a guy is in the desert and a sandstorm rolls in. The guy hops off his camel and builds his tent. He is now hunkered down inside his tent shielded from the sandstorm, with the camel outside. Suddenly, the camel's nose pops in under one of the tent walls. The guy grabs his riding crop and is about to whack it on the nose, but he feels sorry for the camel and leaves it be. Five minutes goes by and the camel sticks his whole head inside the tent. Thy guy is about to whack it for real now, but the camel has these pleading eyes, so the guy leaves it be. Five minutes goes by and the camel pushes its whole body inside the tent and pushes the guy out into the storm.
This what gun-lovers are worried about.

They are not aposed to laws that keep our children safe.. It is just that the laws proposed so far do nothing to accomplish that objective; they only cost taxpayer money, make it harder to protect your children, and take away the freedoms of your children. They are also not fooled by the putting that adjective "sensible" in front of a laws that are expensive and ineffective. Do you not believe in truth in advertising?

The laws you propose are neither sensible, nor would they keep children safe.

Seriously???

We had sensible gun laws fifty years ago.
Sensible would be repealing everything enacted since then.

When will Democrats start proposing "sensible" laws? It will be amusing, I'm still waiting.

because the gun market is very influential in campaign donations. Same as any other lobbying organization. Lobbying dictates the path the United States goes down. Its not something that should be hard to understand. So if you ever find yourself in a voting booth, i encourage you to think really hard about who or what exactly is going to have more influence in government....you....or the multi billion dollar gun, drug, and oil companies.
its really worth thinking about

Why do you expressly demand the deadliest places be COPIED everywhere else and claim THAT is the key to safety?
