Will an algae eater clean up the stubborn brown algae accumulating on the glass of my aquarium?

It just keeps coming back from scrubbing it and i think i have enough room to stock one more fish.

23 gallon tank with 3 cichlids in it.

1x Mbuna Cichlid

1x Electric Blue Johanni

1x Auratis Cichlid

You dont have the space for any algae eater that wont be killed by the cichlids. Large common plecos can usually survive with them, but they get too big for that tank. Small species will probably be killed.

People have used Seachem Flourish Excel to deal with that type of algae. No, you would need a lot of algae eaters to eat up brown algae. Most algae eaters don't eat that type of algae.
