Will Christians ever learn to be careful what they wish for?

Just saw this news story about a Christian group in Florida who threw a tantrum over being able to distribute Bible literature to elementary school kids -- they got their way, but now the school system is obliged to let EVERY religious group have equal access, and the Satanic Temple is distributing a coloring book of its own:

Obviously, this particular group got so wrapped up in what they considered their own rights, they failed to have the foresight to see the implications. A consequence of a myopic "Only my religion's right" world view.

P.S. My crayon broke when I was drawing the pentagram in the colouring book. Am I damned?

The Satanic Bible has helped get many people out of christianity and they are now happy, I have seen this myself quite a few times now

The Satanists don't want the "sheep" to be Satanists. They're the secular equivalents of the Westboro Baptists. It's not surprising that anti-religious fundies like you and Richard Dawkins seem to endorse their behavior. The more popular Satanism becomes the more popular Christianity will become as a counter movement just as Westboro turns Christians away from Christ. The true enemy of Christ is secularism, not elitist Satanism.

I doubt this is really true, but I actually agree with you. We know that we live in a secular world, and we understand that if we are given privileges, they must also be extended to other groups as well. What we don't understand is when other groups are granted rights and privileges that are withheld from us.

I saw that too! I found it to be quite entertaining. Isn't it ironic that the solution to their problems would be ACTUAL SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE? Sigh...they'll never learn.

Must say it's ironic indeed. The fact is there is no need to try forcing religion onto Children. At young age they can't really understand it and in up becoming more confused. My son was confused in 3rd grade as he thought that they was teaching him truth in Greek Mythology. So I don't know I think everyone should at least have an idea of what other faiths believe and their views. Faith shouldn't be blind...

No they won't they think their religion is a religion so it confuses them when other religions get the same privileges.

If I had kids there's no way I wouldn't home school, at lease at elementary stage.
