With The Impulse To Take Flight And Soar One Can Never Merely Creep Around, Earthbound For Eternity?! Is Impuls Ever A Negative Thing?

Francois Lelord Put It This Way...

Eros is not tranquil - it gives us spikes of happiness rather than a constant feeling of wellbeing. It's the love we feel at the beginning of a love affair and corresponds to the expression 'falling in love' since it is as involuntary an impulse as a physical fall.

But What Do You Think?!

It is all relative. Impulse gives us the "positive thing" of exhilaration- taking flight and soaring, but also gives us the "negative thing" of consequence- falling from the heights of flight into an untimely demise. I guess it is like the story of Icarus. Or even Lucifer.

To not act on impulse would keep us safer from consequence but would also shield us from the most powerful sensations of the human experience.
