The Spirit of Communism?

"Communism is a, "Give all you have, take what you need" type of thing that seems to only benefit those in power."

No, it isn't. You need to learn about communism in order to understand it, as opposed to what certain people purport it to be.

"How do ordinary citizens and peasants support communism and obey the propaganda besides the factors of fear and brainwashing?"

You could substitute any -ism you wanted there, and it'd still be a valid question. In fact, Marx deliberately considered the other -isms in constructing his works. How do ordinary citizens and peasants support capitalism, monarchism, fascism, etc?

Ordinary workers and peasants don't support communism because of some kind of "spirit." They support it because they know it will give them a better future, despite sacrifices that may have to be made in the short term. Historical experience has shown that peasants, although their mentality can be individualistic, would much rather work their plot of land collectively than be dominated by brutal landlords.

The thinking of a human being is shaped by his/her own objective conditions and social being. If the conditions of society change, then the people will change as well.

you should learn something about the theory behind it, and the history of the countries where it was (nominally) attempted. far from being something intended to support the rich, it was believed that it would create an egalitarian society, where everything was shared equally.

in the countries where they paid it lip service, it came after a period of outrageous governance, and massive inequality, and the people were lead to believe this would be the cure. But no "communist" government ever actually created a truly communist society.

it's an idealistic notion, but one that simply does not function in the real world, because people will often choose to act in self-interest over the common good

The spirit of Communism is right outside your door.

When GE makes billions off the backs of us working class, when they make untold riches making bombs for their buddies in government that are then used to kill all the working class outside of this nation, when they use every conceivable form of exploitation to reap unimaginable profits and then pay $0 in taxes, the spirit of Communism builds.

When Mali makes a product, like beef or cotton, of equal or better quality than the same product made in the E.U. or U.S., respectively, but is denied the ability to truly enter that product on the free market because the spirit of Capitalism, "our" own best interest, denies any and all real competition, the spirit of Communism builds.

When an oil company spills millions upon millions of gallons of crude oil, uses political destabilization and corruption in the Middle East to artificially raise the price, spends millions buying politicians off to hinder any true change to how we get our energy, and uses misinformation and shill scientists to spread lies so we literally poison ourselves on the waste of Capitalism, the spirit of Communism builds.

Every time Capitalism fails, the spirit of Communism inches ever closer to your nose.

Obviously the spirit of "capitalism" is about wealth concentration being good-

and that the rich are the best ruling class.

Communism puts community first- in the driver's seat where capital sits now.

Well, the conspiracy nuts in recent years have made crackpot claims about our federal government allegedly promoting communism or Marxism, sort of like the "flat planet" claims of the Flat Earth Society.

because they buy into the lie that they really CAN "get everything they need"..they are ALWAYS surprised tho when they go to the government for more and it's all GONE!

a handful are actually deluded enough to believe it, or just take pleasure in turning in their neighbors to the authorities to make them feel like they are somebody. communism is satanic in origin.
