Is it unlikely I won't get hired?

I have an interview for a restaurant tomorrow (Buffalo Wild Wings) and I am worried because I have a lot of pink in my hair and I also have my monroe pierced. Everybody tells me they love my hair and piercing though, I am just worried they won't want to hire me. It is so hard to get a job and I just got a car and need to pay for gas. (I just turned 18). Any advice?

As a lover of weird hair and piercings, I feel your pain. Usually for job interviews, I take out facial piercings and downplay the hair as much as possible. Meaning style it in a way that the pink isn't noticeable or use some temporary black hairdye to cover it up for the day. Then during the interview, ask what their policy is and go from there. It probably won't be a problem at BWW just because it's not too professional of an environment, but I'd ere on the side of caution. If only because, as you mentioned, it's pretty difficult to find a job these days. So you won't be the only one applying/interviewing. And if it comes down to a choice between you and someone they feel would fit the team equally well, but the other person presents themselves more conventionally, they will usually choose the other person. Unless, of course, you're applying at a piercing/tattoo shop, in which case the weirder the better!

Everyone is freinds and famliy, which a employer is typicly neither

Basic rule of thumb for employment, wild hair and face piercings means

    dumb

    ignorant

    undependable

    slacker

    generly undesirable

Although the profiling if far from the truth, ( I like percings), as a lowermanagment in interveiws I look for pepole willing to flex for the companys needs, I dont care if you do look cool with the look or not, self expresion is frowned up on.... dress like your going to try to fit into a midleaged crowd

With that said some employer's are leaniant, but still dont walk into a interveiw like that its a strike (outside of places like hot topic)

At Buffalo Wild Wings I don't think that would be to mutch of a problem .

It would not bother me as a customer. GOOD LUCK

If you are concerned, take the pink out of your hair. I don't know what their "personal grooming" policy is. If you really want the job, you want to look as nice as possible.
