Jesus performed 23 miracles of healing, 9 miracles where he commanded the forces of nature, and 3 where he brought the dead back to life. However, there is one miracle that often goes unremarked, and yet it is the most important miracle of all. In John 2:18-22 Jesus prophesied that he would raise himself from the dead. It was only after his resurrection that Jesus' disciples recalled what he had said.

Imagine how Mary Magdalene felt when she saw the empty tomb and two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. And then, Jesus appeared to her. She went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" (John 20:10-18). And then when Jesus appeared to the disciples on the first day of the week (our Sunday), and the following week, when Thomas was present.

But the miracle I would most like to have seen was when he ascended into heaven (Luke 24:50-53 and Matthew 28:16-20).

Either the feeding 5,000 or the walking on water. Both very visible miracles. If I were "at ground zero" for either of those, there would be no doubt of the miraculous nature of the events. (At a distance either *might* be faked, though I think it would be pretty difficult, a hardcore skeptic could still disbelieve.)
