Could feel my body heat up inside after swallowing medicine?

I took some nighttime cold medicine and when i took it, it felt like it was burning my mouth a little and after it went down my throat I could feel my body getting hot inside around my chest. I could even feel it when drinking water. Does anyone know why this happened?

It's just the medicine working it's magic lol. Don't worry about it. I've had that happen before and it was nothing. Have you read the ingredients in the meds? Some have numbing agents, etc.
