The UK sent the RAF on reconnaissance missions at the weekend. Actual firing of weapons will be within days. So it's already started.

I don't like Cam-moron but to be fair Blair caused all this by invading Iraq in the first place when we had no business to interfere. Now the situation has changed and our own people are being beheaded and British Muslims radicalized. So therefore we have to send a clear message to the Islamic State that acts of terrorism will be met with severe retaliation. Therefore, they must be bombed into submission until every last one is killed. Also, those that were born here must be tried for treason and executed, which I believe is still a capital offence.

While all this is going on, ALL Muslims must be interned since everyone of them is a potential enemy of the state, here and in America. We have been too patient and it is time to show them we have claws.

The fact UK was a major player in the Iraq war makes me feel a responsibility on the part of Britain to take action now.

Am I the only one who thinks so? Does the country still have principles

I am surprised the asker hasnt said "Adolf Blair" as it was he who really really did invade Iraq (along with the US)

At the moment we are a very minor partner with only 6 planes that have not made any air strikes yet. NO there wont be any "boots on the ground" ( an American term that means troops) We are too near the election for the "body bags" to start coming home.

Britain is a very junior partner in this job,but the terrorists are so evil we HAD to do something to help.

There wont ever be another Iraq war in the sense of the last one.

You know, Britain isn't going to sit back and let them move in, anymore than the USA is. This gang banging group of misfits to society now have stooped so low that they will go directly to jail for life w/o passing go, because they are not the neighborly kind, right?!

its a catch 22 the more bombs the west and america and its allies drop the more support isis gets the more women and children are killed in bomding raids the more isis gets in propaganda and if they send in ground troops isis will only get stronger they say there is about 33.000 isis but that just an estimate the death toll if ground troops went in would be high and it would drag on for years costing billions maybe even trillions

They're already at war with IS. They've asked for some assistance and seeing as we are partly to blame for the birth and subsequent rise of IS in Iraq, we are duty-bound to help get rid of them.

CAPTAIN JIIM CROWWW! is too scared of the incapacity benefit system to commit ground troops (+ they know what to expect and find the prospect far too frightening considering the state of the art weapons Isis has) and the existing system has murdered scores of innocent disabled people under his unsure have a go Nick or Boris CAPTAINSHIP :)
