Do worlds intersect? Are dreams like a two-way portal?

In George MacDonald's Lilith, the main character travels to another world through a mirror. At some point he falls in this other world and somehow falls off a water fountain in the "real world" (for lack of a better word). Usually the main character leaves this world through a door (there is no door out only in "into" another world out of another either the door into this world and out of the real world or back into the real world and out of this other world). But this time he left this world by falling. It's like the two worlds are connected but it seems you can enter and exit worlds in more ways than one.

I've had dreams years ago where if I fell asleep again that same terrifying dream over and again. I wanted so badly to be in control. And now I've been struggling to deal with daily repetitive thoughts that I've realized can only be dealt with by understanding what emotions I'm trying to suppress, exercising self-control, and doing things that are positive. It's like you really can't escape your dreams you can't just say "Oh it was just a dream!" And so you're free of those terrible things you see in those dreams. Somehow the things you fear most or think most significant in dreams sometimes manifest themselves in the waking world. Like the symptoms change as do the symbols but my self-obsessiveness didn't escape just because I woke up.

Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say?

I do.  I love your thoughts on the portal, and even have a short story pending was going to write this year called "The Portal."    The things you speak of are thrilling and fascinating, but they aren't real.

I found out what was real by the new creation I was made, the power he promised and gave me, and
the fellowship that I have with him daily through his Word.   Everything on earth, Jesus Christ was and is the only thing that made sense to me.   It came down to this:  either what is said in the Bible is true, or Jesus was a lunatic and we are all doomed when we die, into the ground and it's over...........

and if that's the truth, why be honest and nice in this life.  Why not part down, steal and make as much money as one can, and have as many women as possible.  Why not?   Again, what does it matter.   Oh one says, "You're a bad man."   Guess what kid, I don' t care what you say.   I am going to be history anyway so go screw yourself.

Back to reality though, there is s spritual thruth.  There are angels flying around everywhere, and there is Satan and his minions that want nothnig more than to claim you for heir very own.  Pick up a Bible and at least think about the life of Jesus Christ.   He will help you realize that believing in Him the past is "no more" and all there is- will be eternity with him.   That makes living that next second AWESOME.
