How to get mixed/afro hair to go down?
I'm a mixed raced male (Jamaican/English) and my hair is curly, but is in a somewhat kinky afro, I want my hair to be like this, any ideas on how?

If your hair type won't do it, sometimes it just won't do it, we all have different hair types.
Either way, the longer it gets the more it will hang down. Heavy products and leave in conditioners will also help it hang down instead of out. You can wash your hair, use a leave in conditioner, then a moisturiser while your hair is wet and let it dry, it helps define the curls and stuff. If it still doesn't work, you can add a wet look gel after the moisturiser.

I dont think its your curly hair problem. Imagine if that guy chopped off his hair. It would puff up itself and turn into an Afro. So you would have to grow out. Sorry.
