Severe case of over pronation during my run.?

I just started running a week ago. I have a severe case of over pronation and I'm flat footed. For runners out there who has the same problem, how do you tackle this challenge? I already bought Asics gel-forte running shoes which have a very good motion control.

I already got fitted and was recommended a good motion control running shoes.

    Get fitted in a running specialty store. Do not try to figure out shoes, etc., on your own.
