Why is everyone telling me not to join the Army?

I dont know much but even my friend who is a Marine hates Army guys but he hates the Navy even more. I dont know why they hatin. He told me that the Marines got outdated weaponry (he served in 2007) but i dont know if tthats the case anymore. They still had the M16 while the Army had the M4. I personally like the Army better. The Marines are the poorest branch too but i guess thosr dress blues really do the trick.

The Marines have better PR.

I was a SeaBee and every time we worked with the Marines- I always ended up going back home glad I didn't join them.

They're always military, even when taking a brake, hyper gung-ho and when they don't have anything scheduled they're running, marching or cleaning their weapons.

Not having any experience, I just think that the Army soldiers are more expendable than Marines who have higher quality training in combat situations.

They think that you will get killed, which is typical of their understanding. The Army will teach you skills that you will never learn in your everyday life. Everyone I have known who has served in the military are highly efficient and work very hard. Usually the people who reject the military are lazy, no good bigots, like hippies and the unemployed.

Considering that none of them are in the army, I wouldn't pay much attention to them.

marines have higher public prestige, but are also the ones on the ground first

tell them to bite you. follow your heart and better - ask them if they are up to the challenge to join with you!

Navy offers three hots and a cot............................ask the Marine and Army recruiters about the shelter half.........
